Decatur Interior Photography:
Sleek Finishes and Secret Doorways

The homeowners collaborated with Oneida Builders to transform their unfinished basement into a sleek and sophisticated space, complete with high end materials and even a secret doorway.

Iron and glass doors lead to a private gym which boasts of a striking slat wall with applied mirrors. Together, these give a feeling of openness and modern comfort, and adds significant depth to the space. Capturing these elements required careful management of reflections to emphasize the architectural lines without creating visual clutter.

Highlights in the home theater include decorative curved slatted panels. Each slat of wood was individually cut and carefully installed. The homeowners decided to transform one of these panels into a secret door.way that reveals a hidden child’s hangout room. This adds a layer of intrigue and an element of surprise.

The highlight: A masterclass
in wine cellar craftsmanship

One of the most unique elements of the project is the wine cellar, which evolved from what was initially planned as a simple storage closet. The finished space includes climate control, backlit LED lighting, a textured stone wall, solid wood cabinetry, and a leather countertop. The iron glass doors serve as an elegant frame to this unique and sophisticated wine cellar.

why Expertise matters in decatur
